Phalacrognathus muelleri
An incredibly popular species amongst hobbyist breeders due to it's ease to keep, relatively short larval time and fabulous variation of colours.

We are currently breeding several different colour variations of this species including:
-
Pure green
-
Red + gold
-
Green + purple
-
Burgundy + red/green
-
Red + green (natural colour type)

We are VERY fortunate to also have the rare 'pikal' form of this species, commonly known as 'mirror glaze' which we are hoping to cross with our other breeding lines in the future to possibly form breeding lines with the pikal gene.
The first time we tried breeding this species we harvested a total of 17 eggs from one female over a 2 month period. Since then we have learned better practices and most recently gained 55 eggs from one female in the same time frame. We now keep all our eggs and larvae at a steady 25 degrees and hope to begin experimenting with diet boosting supplements or kinshi this year.

Larvae and adults of this species will become available throughout the year depending on which direction we choose to take our breeding stock in.
