A beautiful and interesting alternative to the very commonly kept Pachnoda marginata. These beetles can thrive with very simple conditions and are very forgiving to new keepers and simple errors. They are fairly hardy and tolerate temperatures between 18-25 degrees quite happily. As with all flower beetles they do require bright light, either in the form of sunlight (partial) or from an LED light or heat lamp.

In 2026 we hope to separate the brown and black variations for different breeding lines.

Larvae feed on leaf mulch, adults feed on ripe fruit.
